The ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation (APAEC) is the regions blueprint for achieving a secure, sustainable, and integrated energy future. Coordinated by the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE), APAEC provides a framework for collaboration among ASEAN Member States to strengthen energy connectivity, enhance resilience, and promote clean and affordable energy for all. To put this vision into action, APAEC is implemented through seven Programme Areas, the key pillars that guide ASEANs regional energy cooperation. Each Programme Area focuses on a specific dimension of the energy sector, from infrastructure and policy integration to innovation and sustainability, working together to advance ASEANs shared energy goals.
APAEC 2026–2030 serves as ASEAN’s strategic blueprint to guide regional energy cooperation over the next phase. It reflects the region’s collective commitment to address evolving energy challenges and opportunities through a unified and forward-looking approach.
