The International Petroleum Industry Environmental Conservation Association (IPIECA) is the global oil and gas industry association dedicated to advancing environmental and social performance across the energy transition. It was established in 1974 at the request of the United Nations Environment Programme to provide a principal channel of engagement between the industry and the UN on climate, environmental and social issues.
